Síle O'Sullivan

Síle's journey into senior outdoor leisure started in a Dublin classroom. She was teaching geography when she noticed something important — there weren't any good walking guides written specifically for older adults. Not guides that treated them like they couldn't handle real terrain, but guides that understood what matters: accessible paths, proper rest stops, and routes that genuinely showcase what makes Ireland beautiful.

That observation turned into 14 years of fieldwork. She's walked hundreds of trails across Irish estates and heritage gardens, paying attention to everything from ground conditions to sightlines to where you'd actually want to sit down. Her postgraduate certification in outdoor education and accessibility standards from the Irish Mountain Training Board shaped how she approaches every route. At Powerscourt Estate and across the Wicklow waterfall routes, she's become someone people trust when they're planning a day out.

At varigiving Ltd, she translates all that on-the-ground knowledge into content you can actually use. The kind that answers real questions: Is this path steep? Where can you rest? What will you actually see? She believes age shouldn't limit exploration — it should just shape how you approach it.
